MALCESINE CASTLE

We’ve often wondered what the suites at Hotel Castello are like, and the answer is very nice indeed. The view of Malcesine castle, beach and lake across to Limone is nothing short of spectacular. The girls got the suite whilst the boys had to settle for the much more ordinary standard rooms. Such is the prerogative of the bride. Lucca was on hand with his tuc-tuc to take us all up the hill to the castle for the 2pm ceremony. We always try and find new photographic locations wherever we are and the images in the archway under the tower were a first for us at a Malcesine wedding.

After a drinks reception at La Pace we headed to the boat for a trip along the coast to Ristorante La Voglia, a popular destination for Malcesine Weddings. As the speeches started the dark clouds gathered and the wind blew in. The staff hurried to batten down the hatches as the storm arrived. It certainly added some drama to the proceedings. Luckily the bad weather had passed by the time the couple stepped out onto the terrace for the first dance.

After a wedding like this, one thing we can say for certain about folks from Essex is that they know how to party! Thank you Karen and Lloyd for inviting us along.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jon and Angela so much for our wonderful photos.  We are so pleased with how they capture the fun, relaxed atmosphere of the day as well as emphasising the absolutley beautiful surroundings.

I would also like to mention what a wonderful couple Jon and Angela are.  They were so fun and friendly, we had many guests comment to us how lovely they both were.  They made us feel so relaxed, and just seemed to fit in with the guests seemlessly, so the photography never once felt intrusive
They were complete professionals who always seemed to go that extra mile for us, with poor Jon even getting absolutely soaked sitting in the rain, intent on capturing those dramatic pictures of the thunderstorm during our speeches.

I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone, and would definately suggest having the ‘two photographers package’ to get the perspectives of both the bride and groom during preparations on the day.

Thanks again for everything.
